Indoor Geraniums

As I watch the snow fall outside at a rate of about 1″ per hour, I thought I’d take some photographs of my indoor geraniums to lift my spirits! I hate being cooped up inside and playing with my camera always moves my focus towards… Continue Reading “Indoor Geraniums”

Le Puy Camino – via Podiensis: Aubrac to Saint Chély-d’Aubrac

April 8 and 9, 2023 Our overnight stay in the village of Aubrac was nothing short of luxurious! Queen of the Meadow

We’ve not mowed our back meadow much this summer and, as a result, the wildflowers are putting on a nice show! Queen Anne’s Lace is gracing our back country roadsides and meadows giving credence to the fact that summer will soon be winding down.

Burgundy Clematis

My clematis vine has stopped blooming for the season but I had captured some blossoms last month when it was in full flower. It thrives in a corner of my garden even though it is seriously neglected by me!

Lavatera after the Rain

It was another soggy morning here in Vermont but that’s okay. It gives me the opportunity to photograph raindrops on my flowers! I’ve been able to keep the Japanese beetles at bay for now. For some reason, they love the white Lavatera flowers and… Continue Reading “Lavatera after the Rain”

Lavatera – Tree Mallow

I love testing out new plants for the garden. I planted a section along my picket fence with a grouping of annuals and the Lavatera is finally starting to bloom. What a pleasant surprise! It makes a nice back of the border specimen with… Continue Reading “Lavatera – Tree Mallow”
