Hydrangea’s Winter Phase – by Lynn Thomas Amber

Panicles transform

White to Pink to Red to Brown

At rest in Winter.

I love the texture and interest that hydrangea panicles provide in the winter. The color transition made by these cone-shaped flower heads throughout the season provides a delightful, ever-changing show.
