October Photo of the Day 10.9.21

Riding the Witch Hole Pond carriage road loop in search of some inspiring photographs, I was disappointed in my efforts. I simply was not finding anything that really caught my eye and the quality of my photographs reflected my utter failure to get that one good shot. As I was loading my bike onto the car feeling totally unproductive, I glanced over at the marshy meadow along the road – and there it was. My photograph of the day. The light was hitting the meadow at just the right angle and the beaver dam was a perfect addition to the picture.
